Can I put a side return on my property?

What’s the best way of adding maximum value to my house?
Adding square footage to the footprint on the house generally adds more value than interior decoration. Adding a bedroom, bathroom or modernising a kitchen will usually add value to a property even in the current market. However this is only true if space is organised cleverly - poor design won’t add value to your house. A consultation with Avenues Design and Build will help you decide where you should spend your budget for the best return.

Do I need to get permission from the freeholder of my property?
If you are a leaseholder then you will need the freeholder’s permission for structural work, loft alterations and side extensions. If you have shared ownership of the freehold with other flat owners in your building, then you will need to obtain their consent for the work.
How can I ensure that I budget properly for my project?
Avenues Design and Build will ensure your quote covers all work to be completed and will provide a schedule for the project so you can keep track of all activity.
